Finding Meeting Points
Knowing exactly where to meet for your activity is essential for a smooth start to your experience. MyPerfectStay provides detailed meeting point information to help you find your way, including maps, addresses, and specific instructions from the activity provider.
Where to Find Meeting Point Information
Meeting point details are available in several places throughout the app:
Activity Detail Page - Before booking, you can see the meeting point information on the activity page. This helps you understand where you will need to go before committing to a booking.
Booking Details - After booking, your booking details screen shows the meeting point with a dedicated section that you can tap to see more details.
Voucher - Your booking voucher includes the meeting point information along with any specific arrival instructions from the operator.
Understanding Location Types
Activities may have different types of location information:
Meeting Point - This is where you meet your guide or check in to start the activity. Most activities have a fixed meeting point that all participants gather at.
Ending Point - If the activity ends at a different location from where it starts, this information is also shown. The ending point appears with a flag icon in map views.
Pickup Point - For activities that include pickup service, your selected pickup location is displayed. Pickup points appear with a car icon on maps.
Meeting and End Point - When the activity starts and ends at the same location, this is indicated so you know you will return to where you began.
Viewing the Map
To see your meeting point on a map:
Open your booking from the Bookings tab
Look for the meeting point section
Tap on it to open the detailed view
The meeting point is marked on an interactive map
The map shows your activity location with a numbered marker. If there is a pickup point or ending point, these appear as separate markers with distinct icons:
Numbered marker - The main activity meeting point
Car icon (orange) - Your pickup location
Flag icon (black) - Where the activity ends
Getting Directions
From the meeting point details, you have several options to help you navigate:
Open in Maps - Tap "Open in Maps" or "Get Directions" to open the location in your preferred maps app (Google Maps or Apple Maps). This lets you get turn-by-turn directions from your current location.
Copy Address - You can copy the address to your clipboard, useful if you want to paste it into another navigation app or share it with someone.
Share - Share the meeting point details with travel companions so everyone knows where to go.
Meeting Point Details
When you tap on a meeting point, a detailed view opens showing:
Location Name - The name of the meeting location, such as a landmark, building, or street address.
Arrival Instructions - Specific guidance from the activity provider about how to find them. This might include instructions like: "Meet in front of the main entrance", "Look for the guide holding a yellow flag", "Check in at the ticket booth before the tour", "Wait at the statue near the entrance"
Coordinates - The exact GPS coordinates are used to place the marker on the map accurately.
You can copy the arrival instructions to reference later, especially helpful if you might not have internet access at the meeting point.
Types of Meeting Arrangements
Different arrangements may be used:
Fixed Location - You meet at a specific address, monument, building, or landmark. The activity provider waits for all participants at this location.
Hotel Pickup - For activities with pickup service, the operator comes to collect you from your accommodation: you select or provide your hotel information when booking; the pickup time is usually earlier than the activity start time; wait in your hotel lobby at the specified time; the driver or guide will look for you.
Multiple Pickup Points - Some activities offer several pickup locations throughout a city. During booking, you choose the most convenient pickup point for you.
Supplier Arranged - If you selected "I don't know yet" for pickup during booking, this indicates you will contact the supplier to arrange pickup details before your activity.
Preparing for Your Activity
Arrive Early - Plan to arrive at the meeting point 10-15 minutes before the scheduled start time. This gives you buffer time to find the exact spot and check in without rushing.
Check for Updates - Review your voucher and booking details the day before your activity to check for any last-minute changes to the meeting point or instructions.
Save Offline Maps - If you are traveling to an area with limited internet connectivity, download the area in Google Maps or Apple Maps for offline access. You can still navigate without an internet connection.
Have Your Voucher Ready - Keep your booking reference accessible so you can quickly show it when you arrive.
Note Emergency Contact - Save the operator contact number from your voucher. You may need it if you have trouble finding the meeting point.
Booking Map View
For bookings that are part of a travel plan, you can view all your activity locations on a single map. This is helpful for planning your day and understanding how your activities are geographically distributed.
The booking map shows:
All activity meeting points for your trip
Color-coded markers indicating booking status (confirmed, pending, etc.)
A timeline view showing your activities in order
The ability to tap markers to see activity details
If You Cannot Find the Meeting Point
If you are having trouble locating the meeting point:
Review the Instructions - Check your voucher and booking details again for any specific guidance you might have missed.
Use Map Directions - Open the location in your maps app and follow navigation.
Look for Signage - Activity providers often have signs, flags, or branded clothing to help you identify them.
Ask Locally - If the meeting point is a well-known landmark, local staff or passersby may be able to point you in the right direction.
Call the Operator - Use the emergency contact number on your voucher to call the activity provider directly. They can guide you to the correct location.
Running Late
If you realize you will be late to the meeting point:
Contact the operator immediately - Use the phone number on your voucher
Let them know your situation - They may be able to wait briefly or provide alternative instructions
Understand the policy - Many tours cannot wait for late arrivals and will depart on time. Refunds are typically not provided for no-shows.
