After your group finishes voting on activities, you have the option to let artificial intelligence create a personalized day-by-day itinerary based on the winning choices. This feature transforms raw voting results into a thoughtfully organized trip schedule, saving you hours of manual planning while ensuring your itinerary reflects what your group actually wants to do.

How to Access AI Planning

AI itinerary generation is available exclusively from the Voting Results screen after a group voting session has completed. This is intentional because the AI needs voting data to understand your group's preferences.

To access the feature, complete a group voting session and view the results. On the results screen, look for the Plan button, which appears with a sparkle icon indicating AI-powered functionality. Tapping this button initiates the itinerary generation process.

The Plan button is only available to the host who created the voting room. Other participants can view voting results but cannot initiate AI planning. This ensures a single coordinated planning effort rather than multiple conflicting itineraries.

What the AI Creates

When you tap Plan, the AI analyzes your voting results and generates a comprehensive itinerary that includes several components.

The primary output is a day-by-day schedule that organizes activities across your trip dates. The AI considers factors like activity duration, location, and typical operating hours when deciding which day to place each activity. It aims to create balanced days rather than cramming everything into the first day or leaving gaps.

For each activity, the AI suggests appropriate timing including start times that make sense given the activity type. Morning activities like sunrise tours get early slots, while evening experiences like dinner cruises get later placement.

The AI also generates a trip summary, a paragraph describing your planned trip in natural language. This summary is shareable and gives a quick overview of what your group will experience.

Additionally, the AI provides reasoning for its decisions, explaining why certain activities were placed on specific days. This transparency helps you understand the logic and makes it easier to adjust if needed.

Reviewing Your AI Plan

After the AI finishes generating your itinerary, you are taken to the AI Suggestions screen where you can review everything before committing to the plan.

At the top of the screen, you see summary statistics showing how many days your trip spans and how many activities are included. A Trip Summary card shows the AI-generated description of your trip, which you can expand to read in full.

Below the summary, your itinerary is organized by day. Each day appears as an expandable section showing the date and the number of activities scheduled. The first day typically starts expanded so you can immediately see what is planned.

Within each day, activity cards show the activity image, title, suggested time, and key details like duration. Tapping any activity card takes you to its full details page where you can learn more about what the experience includes.

How It Works Section

The AI Suggestions screen includes an expandable How It Works section that explains the generation process. Expanding this section shows you that the AI selected top-voted activities, organized them across your trip dates considering timing and logistics, and created a balanced schedule.

This transparency helps you trust the AI's recommendations and understand that the itinerary is based on your group's actual preferences rather than arbitrary selections.

Handling Unavailable Activities

Sometimes activities that your group voted positively on may not be available during your specific travel dates. This happens when activities have seasonal schedules, are sold out, or have other availability constraints.

The AI automatically handles this by excluding unavailable activities from the planned itinerary. However, it shows you which activities could not be included in a separate Unavailable Activities section. Each unavailable activity displays its match percentage from voting so you can see how popular it was with your group.

Knowing what was excluded helps you understand why certain favorites might not appear in the itinerary and potentially look for alternative dates or similar activities.

Customizing the Plan

Once you have reviewed the AI suggestions and are satisfied with the overall structure, you can proceed to customize specific details. Tapping Select Options at the bottom of the screen takes you to a selection review screen.

On this screen, you choose specific tour options and start times for each activity. Many activities have multiple variants, such as morning versus afternoon departures or different tour packages at various price points. The AI suggests options, but you have final say on exactly which variants to book.

This two-step process balances AI efficiency with human control. The AI handles the complex task of organizing activities across days, while you make the final decisions about specific bookings.

Regenerating the Plan

If the AI's first attempt does not quite match what you envisioned, you can regenerate the plan. Tap the Regenerate option to create a completely new itinerary from the same voting results.

Each regeneration may produce different arrangements and timings, potentially surfacing a schedule that better fits your preferences. You can regenerate as many times as needed until you find an itinerary structure you like.

Discarding the Plan

If you decide you would rather plan manually, you can discard the AI-generated itinerary entirely. This returns you to the voting results screen where you can add activities to your travel plan one by one.

Discarding is useful if the AI's approach does not align with your vision or if you have specific scheduling requirements that the AI cannot anticipate, such as reservations you have already made independently.

After Finalizing Your Plan

Once you have selected options for all activities, you can add them to your travel plan or proceed directly to booking. The AI-generated structure becomes the foundation of your actual itinerary.

From this point, the travel plan functions like any other plan in MyPerfectStay. You can view it on a map, track your budget, add additional activities manually, and eventually complete the plan to book everything through checkout.

Tips for Best Results

• To get the most out of AI itinerary generation, ensure your group voting session includes a good variety of activities with clear winners. When voting results show strong preferences with high approval percentages, the AI has clearer signals about what to prioritize.
• Review the unavailable activities section to understand what could not be included. Sometimes adjusting your travel dates slightly might make popular activities available.
• Use the regenerate feature if your first itinerary feels unbalanced or does not flow well geographically. The AI may find a better arrangement on subsequent attempts.
