How Authentication Works

MyPerfectStay uses a passwordless authentication system based on one-time verification codes. Rather than remembering a traditional password, you verify your identity each time you sign in using a 6-digit code sent to your email address.

This approach provides several security benefits. You never have to remember a password that could be forgotten, guessed, or reused across multiple services. Each verification code is unique and expires quickly, so even if someone intercepts a code, it becomes useless after you use it or it times out.

The Sign-In Process

When you sign in to MyPerfectStay, you enter your email address on the first screen. The app sends a verification code to that email address. You then enter the 6-digit code in the app to complete authentication.

The verification code is valid for a limited time, typically a few minutes. If the code expires before you enter it, you can request a new one. Each new code invalidates any previously sent codes for security.

Make sure you have access to the email address associated with your account whenever you need to sign in, as this is essential for receiving your verification codes.

Keeping Your Email Account Secure

Since your MyPerfectStay account security relies on your email, keeping your email account secure is crucial. Use a strong, unique password for your email provider. Enable two-factor authentication on your email account if available. Be cautious about phishing emails that might try to trick you into revealing your email credentials.

If someone gains access to your email account, they could potentially sign in to your MyPerfectStay account by requesting verification codes. This is why email security is the foundation of your overall account security.

Social Sign-In Options

Enable Face ID, Touch ID, or a PIN code on your phone to prevent unauthorized physical access to the app. If someone picks up your unlocked phone, they should not be able to browse your bookings or make purchases without additional authentication.

The MyPerfectStay app remains signed in between sessions for convenience, which means device security is your first line of defense against someone who might pick up your unattended phone.

Signing Out on Shared Devices

If you ever use the app on a device that is not yours, such as a friend's phone or a shared tablet, make sure to sign out when you are finished. The sign-out option is available at the bottom of the Profile screen.

Signing out ensures the next person who uses that device cannot access your account, view your bookings, or make purchases with your saved payment methods.

Monitoring for Unauthorized Activity

Periodically review your booking history to ensure all bookings were made by you. If you see bookings you do not recognize, this could indicate unauthorized access to your account.

Also watch for unexpected emails from MyPerfectStay. If you receive booking confirmations for activities you did not book, someone else may have accessed your account.

If You Suspect Unauthorized Access

If you believe someone has gained unauthorized access to your account, take immediate action. First, sign in to your account if you can and check for any bookings you did not make. Review your saved payment methods to ensure no unauthorized cards have been added.
