Payment Methods

MyPerfectStay makes it easy and secure to pay for your travel activities. We accept major credit and debit cards, and you can save your payment information for faster checkout on future bookings. Here is everything you need to know about payment options in the app.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following credit and debit cards for all bookings:

  • Visa - All Visa credit and debit cards are accepted, including Visa Electron and Visa Debit.

  • Mastercard - All Mastercard credit and debit cards are accepted, including Maestro cards.

  • American Express - American Express cards are fully supported for all bookings.

  • JCB - JCB cards are accepted for international travelers.

When you enter your card number during checkout, the app automatically detects your card type and displays the appropriate logo, so you can confirm you are using the right card.

Adding a Card During Checkout

The most common way to add a payment method is during the checkout process. When you reach the payment step after entering your traveler details, you will see the "Select payment method" section. If you do not have any saved cards, or want to use a new card, tap the "Add new card" button.

You will be presented with a form asking for your card details:

  • Cardholder Name - Enter the name exactly as it appears on your card. This field accepts up to 50 characters and validates that you have entered a proper name format.

  • Card Number - Enter your full card number. The app automatically formats this with spaces every four digits to make it easier to read and verify. Card numbers can be up to 19 digits long depending on your card type.

  • Expiry Date - Enter the expiration date in MM/YY format. The app validates that your card has not expired and that the date format is correct.

  • CVV - Enter the 3 or 4 digit security code found on the back of your card (or front for American Express). This code is required for security purposes and is validated before your payment is processed.

Once you have entered all your card details, the card is validated and added to your available payment methods for the current checkout session.

Saving Cards for Future Use

After adding a new card during checkout, you will see a confirmation dialog asking if you want to save the card for faster checkout in the future. The dialog explains that your card will be stored securely on your device.

If you choose "Store card details", your card information will be saved and will appear automatically the next time you check out. If you prefer not to save your card, tap "Continue without storing" and the card will only be used for the current transaction.

Cards are stored securely on your device using encrypted storage. The full card number is never stored in plain text. Only the last four digits are displayed when viewing your saved cards, along with the card type and expiration date.

Managing Payment Methods from Your Profile

You can view and manage all your saved payment methods from the Profile tab. Tap on "Payment Methods" (shown with a credit card icon) to access the Payment screen.

On this screen you will see all your saved cards listed with their card type icon, the last four digits of the card number displayed as "**** XXXX", and the expiration date. From here you can perform several actions.

  • Adding a New Card - Tap the "Add card" button at the bottom of the screen to add a new payment method outside of the checkout flow. You will be taken to the Add Card screen where you can enter your card details just like during checkout. The supported card types (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB) are displayed at the top of the form as a reference.

  • Editing a Card - Tap on any saved card to edit its details. You can update the cardholder name, card number, expiry date, or CVV. This is useful if your card has been reissued with a new number or expiration date.

  • Deleting a Card - Each card has a delete option that lets you remove it from your saved payment methods. When you tap delete, a confirmation dialog will appear asking "Are you sure you want to delete this card?" to prevent accidental deletion. Tap "Delete" to confirm or "Cancel" to keep the card.

  • Deleting All Cards - If you want to remove all your saved payment methods at once, tap the "Delete All Cards" button that appears at the bottom of the screen when you have saved cards. A confirmation dialog will ask "Are you sure you want to delete all your saved cards?" before proceeding.

Using Saved Cards at Checkout

When you proceed to checkout with items in your cart, the payment step will display all your saved cards under "Select payment method". Each card shows its type icon, the last four digits, and the expiration date.

Simply tap on the card you want to use to select it. A checkmark or highlight will indicate which card is currently selected. If you need to use a different card that is not saved, you can still tap "Add new card" to enter new card details.

Primary Card

The first card you save becomes your primary card by default. When you have multiple saved cards, the primary card is automatically selected when you start a new checkout. If you delete your primary card, the next card in your list automatically becomes the new primary.

Currency Display

MyPerfectStay displays prices in your preferred currency, which you can set in your Profile settings. The app supports many currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, and others. When you change your preferred currency, all prices throughout the app are converted and displayed in that currency.

At checkout, the total amount shows your selected currency with a note that "All taxes and fees included" so you know exactly what you will be charged. The actual payment may be processed in the activity provider's currency (often EUR), with your bank handling any necessary currency conversion according to their rates.

Payment Security

Your payment information is protected through multiple layers of security:

  • Encrypted Storage - Card details saved on your device are encrypted and stored securely using the device's secure storage mechanisms.

  • Secure Transmission - All payment data is transmitted over secure, encrypted connections when processing your booking.

  • CVV Required - Your card's security code (CVV) is required for each transaction to help verify that you have physical possession of the card.

  • No Full Card Storage - We never store or display your complete card number. Only the last four digits are shown for identification purposes.

Your actual payment is processed through secure payment gateways that comply with industry security standards.

Troubleshooting Payment Issues

If your payment fails during checkout, there are several things you can check:

  • Verify Card Details - Make sure you have entered your card number, expiry date, and CVV correctly. Even a single digit error will cause the payment to fail.

  • Check Expiration Date - Ensure your card has not expired. The app validates expiration dates, but if your card recently expired you may need to update it.

  • Sufficient Funds - Confirm that your card has sufficient available credit or funds for the transaction amount.

  • Bank Authorization - Some banks may block international transactions or online purchases by default. If your payment is declined, contact your bank to authorize the transaction or check if there are any holds on your account.

  • Try Another Card - If one card continues to fail, try using a different payment method.
